Cost: £30
Appearance: White wine lightness
Aroma: Tobacco smoke, some underlying spice and dried fruits. Subtle saltiness mixed with milk chocolate.
Taste: Smooth with a hint of milk chocolate, spice develops with some botanical notes before tailing off to a fairly short and subtle oak, pepper and vanilla finish.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and with a building spice.
Overall: I’ve added a tiny drop of water, which I feel bring out some of the more subtle flavours and aromas. This whisky shows the potential from the Cumbrian based distillery; who only started producing in late 2014. We’re looking forward to following their journey and seeing the how their whisky develops over the coming years.
