Cost: £20-28

Appearance: Orangey gold

Aroma: Lots of barley and brown sugar with a light smokiness. Time in the glass reveals fruitier notes of orange and lemon zest.

Taste: Smooth on the palette. Notes of vanilla, orange and sugar initially before a warming spice with a fruit and nut finish.

Overall: This whisky is great if you need to knock up a couple of whisky cocktails at a party. It’s pleasant enough neat or with ice, however it’s not going to blow regular whisky drinkers away. Having said that, Bourbon fans might want to consider this. Especially if you enjoy the occasional old fashioned, as the fruit and spice notes work really well.
