Malström meaning Vortex or Whirlpool is Mackmyra’s sixteenth release in the Moment series. These releases combine some of Mackmyra’s most exclusive casks from their warehouses in the Bodås mine and on the island Fjäderholmarna. The casks were handpicked by Master Blender Angela D’Orazio in a bid to create a unique, limited edition whisky. Malström is 1 of 1500 and contains a mix of Swedish Oak, American Oak, 1st fill Sherry and 1st fill Bourbon.

Appearance: Amber glow.
Aroma: Intensely oaky nose, which mingles with sweet fruits, boozy cocktail cherries and marzipan.
Taste: While the nose suggests little spice, the palette combines the intense oak with spiced fruit. These eventually give way to flavours of vanilla, sherry and a hint of smoke. The spice continues to tingle the palette throughout leaving you with a mouthwatering fruity spice finish.
