There are things that you can only do once you have forgotten about the repercussions from the last time you did it. For example, ordering and eating a kebab. The lure of the neon lights and the smell pulls you in, you order, walk away enjoying it and think nothing of it. Much later, probably in the middle of the night or the next morning, as the salt shakes kick in, you regret everything. Not sure why this made me think of drinking a Glenlivet?
Aroma: This is an apple crumble of a whisky: The nose is full of orchard fruits, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger spice.
Taste: At first this is honey sweet, with creamy vanilla and orchard fruits.
The middle is all about a developing, but short cinnamon spice.
Finally, it becomes full of oak with a light smoke, toasted coconuts and then the creamy vanilla comes back.
Real Dram Factor: Solid, but unremarkable – 4.7
You will like this if: You don’t really like whisky that much.
