I am a purist and I generally only buy whisky if I think it will be interesting or it offers something new. So this is an exception to the rule. I only bought it, because it was ludicrously cheap. It was just over £20.
Aroma: Smokey bacon crisps, lemon acidity and oak casks.
Taste: It starts with a golden syrup sweetness – it is full of vanilla and creaminess.
The middle is smoked bacon, crispy fried eggs and lemon zest.
Finally, it brings massive wafts of campfire smoke. It is oily and has a spicy, almost chilli like heat to it.
Real Dram Factor: Such a surprise, its like Laphroaig, but turned down to 7 and for the price, it’s incredible – 7.2
You will like this if: yellow stickers bring you more joy than life itself.
